Preparing for COVID 19

WE CAN HELP
During these uncertain times, its important as a business to do our best to protect our employees and our customers. The best protection is to have a plan in place to reopen your business to ensure the safety of everyone.

As a janitorial service provider we have always understood the importance of disinfecting high touch points, yet this pandemic has brought it to the forefront for everyone.

We understand the concerns, and want to be a part of the solution to help our communities to reopen safely.
Prepare a plan.
To help you develop a plan please see the links with help on how to reopen safely provided by San Diego County & OSHA

Using Steam on COVID 19
Virus's are deactivated as opposed to killed. At this time there is evidence that COVID 19 may be deactivated through heat temperatures over 80 degrees. The steamer we utilize heats up to 338 degrees.
Here is the information from agencies about deactivating a virus with steam.
  • WHO boiling water is capable of deactivating virus
  • CDC steam for disinfecting
  • Hindawi temperature and moisture capable of deactivating SARS

It is important to take precautions as you reopen.
The first step is to prepare your facility.
  • With an initial clean to remove the dust and cobwebs followed by a disinfection of all hard surfaces and steam cleaning all soft surfaces.
  • Add entry signage
  • Create social distancing for your customer and team- markings, furniture arrangement, etc.

The second step is to set protocols and educate your team and ensure the safety of customers.
  • Educate and train on new protocols and safety measures
  • Telecommuting & social distancing protocols
  • To not come in to work when sick
  • Hand washing - and hand sanitizer stations
  • Disinfecting of personal space
  • Provision and proper use of masks and PPE- see link for CDC on how to use PPE
  • Customer safety protocols specific to your business

CDC Using PPE
The third step is to establish cleaning frequencies.
Break rooms, restrooms and common areas should have an increase level of frequency to prevent the spread. Regular cleaning of your facility will also aid in decreasing the spread.
  • We can provide you with a customized plan to meet your needs
  • We can come in and train your team how to disinfect for in between cleanings
  • We can provide you with EPA disinfectants and services
  • Ensure you have filled soap dispensers and paper products
  • Increased disinfecting of high touch points
We currently provide janitorial services for the County of San Diego and they have instituted a requirement to disinfect all common areas, high touch points, break rooms and rest rooms a minimum of 3 times a day for facilities open during the day.
